VISITORS VISA
Canada Visitors Visa
Each year, millions of people visit Canada on visitor visas, to enjoy its untouched natural environment, and some of the world’s most attractive cities. Canada’s immigration policy recognizes that temporary resident programs are vital to the Canadian economy. These visas allow foreign nationals to enter Canada, and but leave prior to the stipulated period of stay authorized at the port of entry.
Issuing authority and validity:
A multiple – entry visa, allows visitors to be considered for a maximum of ten years entry to
Canada. Foreign nationals are not permitted to remain in Canada for the validity of the visa, but
are authorized to stay for up to six months.
Super Visa Program:
Canadian citizens or permanent residents can apply for their parents or grandparents to visit
under the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa program. The Super visa is a multiple entry visa
issued for 10 years, and allows the parent or grandparent to remain in Canada for up to two
years at a time.
To enter Canada as a member of the visitor class, you must provide supporting documents to
convince the Immigration Refugee Citizenship Canada officer that you will return to your country
of residence at the end of the period of authorized stay. The onus is on you the applicant to
demonstrate the request is Bonafide.
Special attention must be given to documenting and explaining your intentions to return home at
the end of your visit to Canada.
